“It was an immersive experience, where I had to connect with all my senses. I observed very deep human interactions and connections in an instinctive way, but also in an abstract form.” Pascale Ussel, audience member at Studio Wayne McGregor's sharing
This contemporary dance trio wants to make conscious the overwhelming effect noise, both literal and metaphorical, has in our everyday lives. It’s an exploration of sound and visual noise, and how it affects our emotional states.
Performed and created by Deaf and hearing performers to communicate their different experiences, the work is rich with unspoken chemistry, both celebrating the overwhelming connection these performers create, but also finding space within the poignancy of the physical connection they need in order to communicate.
Mike Winship has designed a soundscape which leads the audience through an emotionally filled space, made not only of sounds but of vibrations too, playing with our own perceptions and senses.
Our aim is to reflect upon the effect that urban environments and contemporary habits have on us. With an accessible work made for a diverse audience by an inclusive team.
